Trudeau Corporation

Trudeau's own site states it plainly: "Since 1889, four successive generations have managed Trudeau Corporation, instilling the values of family and tradition into our corporate culture." Their official history: founded as The General Bazaar Company in Montreal in 1889, importing housewares. In 1919, Joseph-Arthur Trudeau became sole owner after his business partner's death. The company pivoted from importing luxury giftware to designing and manufacturing its own kitchenware in the mid-1990s. In 2021, Anne-Marie Trudeau completed the succession to become the company's first female owner and CEO in its 130+ year history — a detail the company's own materials highlight with real pride.
